Director Subramaniam Shiva said that he was in search of an old church to shoot the climax scene for his film Yogi.

My fans feel that if I enter politics I will be able to do more good to the people through fan clubs. They have been telling this for a long time. I also wanted to do something for their future. In all the houses people of Tamil Nadu think that I am their son or brother.
I wanted to do something for the people. That is the reason why I agreed to come into politics. In this connection I wanted to know the views of the people apart from fan clubs. So I held meeting at Chennai and in some important Districts. Educated youths and girls gave me their views. Asin is now camped in Kerala for the last two weeks and is undergoing training in Kalari fight. Every morning she leaves her house in the early hours and travel for one hour to reach her training place. She returns back in the evening.
She says that this training is really tough and her whole body is paining. But she adds that in spite of all these difficulties, this art gives her peace of mind. Recently while undergoing this training Asin was injured because of her carelessness.

One of the prominent theatres of Chennai ‘Kamala’ Theatre was inaugurated in 1972 by Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and owner himself.
The first film to be filmed there was ‘Sange Mulangu’. The theatre was renovated and re-opened recently before couple of days with Kamal Haasan, Vivek, Vijay, Manorama, Napoleon and versatile politicians taking part in it.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamal Haasan said that during this time where theatres are shut down and remodeled into shopping malls, it’s a bold attempt by Kamala Theatre Groups as they’ve made single screen in 2 theatres.

Actress Trisha deeply denies the rumors about linking her romantically with Silambarasan.
Says Trisha, ‘Both of us are good friends and we paired up together after a long time since ‘Alai’ and now for ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’ and there’s nothing in between us….

I am also currently acting in the remake film Nootruku Nooru. I am doing the role which Jai Shankar did in the original version. I have not seen the original version.
Some changes have been made to suit the current times. I did not see the original version because I may imitate Jai Shankar. I will see this after completing the remake version.
Whenever I get time I learn horse riding. This would be helpful for cinema. I also play rugby.”

Shahrukh replaces Aamir!
Aamir Khan has turned down the state government’s offer to campaign against child labour. The state labour ministry had been pursuing the actor for over four months.
Kavita Gupta, state labour secretary, said, “We felt Aamir was ideal for the campaign. It took us a while before we could meet and discuss the idea with him. We were told that he was busy with the election campaign, after which he was going abroad. We could only meet him after he returned. But unfortunately, he won’t be doing the campaign.”
It was only recently that Gupta managed to meet the actor with a concept note. “He said he’s been doing a lot of government interest campaigns and felt that if he spoke on every subject, his credibility would suffer,” said Gupta. When asked if the government is planning to approach any other actor, she said, “I guess we will have to approach Shah Rukh Khan now.”
Clarifying his position on the matter, Aamir said, “I’m doing a lot of public service messages and I didn’t want to dilute the (message in the) ads that I’ve already done by doing another one.” The actor has earlier done public service ads like the election campaign and promotion of tourism.

A.R. Rahman to score music for Vijay!!
Actress Thamannah has charged Rs.50Lakhs as her remuneration for Vijay’s 50th film titled ‘Urimai Kural’.
Earlier, there were many auteurs on the list and there were many guesses on who would direct this flick. Finally, Perarasu has been confirmed and Vijay seems to have paid the advance amount.

Tamanna has agreed to act in a kissing scene in Kanden Kadhalai. Kanden Kadhalai is the remake version of the Hindi film Jab We Met.
Kanden Kadhali has Bharath and Tamanna in the lead. This film is directed by Kanna. Kannan had requested Tamanna to act in a kissing scene with Bharath. Initially Tamanna was reluctant to act in this scene.
But now she has agreed to do his scene. Kannan said,” Initially Tamanna refused to act in this kissing scene. She said this was not mentioned in the agreement. I told her that there will be no vulgarity in this scene.
I explained to her that this scene would be like a scene from Manirathinam film. She understood the importance of the sequence and agreed to act. This film stars in a train and ends in a train. I shot the climax scene in Theni. The kissing scene will be in the climax.”

Sandhya the heroine of Manjal Veyil has denied that she has done a lip lock in the film.
She says: “Manjal Veyil is a clean love story. I play Gayathri a college girl and recently I was baffled when I read that I am doing a kissing scene with my hero. I think it is a publicity gimmick used by the director to market the film”.
On whether she will ever do kissing on screen, the actress is quick to answer: “No way. Do you know that recently, I opted out of a film for the simple reason that the script demanded a kissing scene? I was thoroughly impressed by the script and the director but I don’t think that I’ll be comfortable while doing it”.
Sandhya has almost completed her magnum opus, the P. Vasu directed Aaptharakshaka in Kannada and Odipolama in Tamil with newcomer Parimal. She says that both the films have shaped out well and is all praise for Vishnuvardhan the Kannada superstar who is so down-to-earth and encouraging.
Prabhu Deva- Nayan to marry?

The reason for Manikandan quitting is because he seems to committed himself to a Farah Khan project that is about to begin in June. With Mani getting ill and the project stalling a getting delayed Manikandan seems to have not fulfilled his commitment to Mani Ratnam.
So what happens now? Mani Ratnam has called his old friend and ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan to complete his project ‘Raavan’ successfully. With more than 60 percent of the film complete and his cinematographer walking out on him Mani Ratnam is confident that Santosh will do justice to the film.
A friend in need is a friend indeed!

Producer Ravichandran of Aascar Movies has been the most successful producers in town possessing the best traits of money-spinner.
